Flashing red LED light

If your ShotKam is flashing red, it typically indicates a battery issue.
First, determine whether the red LED is flashing while charging or while the unit is turned ON (not charging). The meaning depends on when it occurs.

1️⃣ Flashing Red While Turned ON (Not Charging)

If your ShotKam is turned ON and flashing red, this simply means the battery is low.

Solution: Recharge your ShotKam for at least 3 hours (or overnight) using a wall adapter. If the unit charges normally and no longer flashes red after charging, then no further action is needed.

2️⃣ Flashing Red After 3+ Hours of Charging

If your ShotKam is still displaying a flashing red LED after charging for 3+ hours, please try the following:

Step 1: Change the Charging Equipment

Sometimes the issue is simply a faulty cable or low-output adapter. Charge the ShotKam overnight using:

  • A different USB 2.0 to USB-C cable. (Cable specification if needed: USB 2.0 to USB-C)

  • A different wall adapter

Step 2: Perform the At-Home Battery Test

After charging with a new cable and adapter, please complete our: Battery Test Instructions. This test helps determine whether the battery is holding a charge properly.

3️⃣ Flashing Red for ~20 Seconds While Charging, Then Turns Off Completely

If your ShotKam flashes red for approximately 20 seconds and then turns off completely without staying powered on, the battery needs to be replaced. Please order a Battery Replacement Kit below.
