Missing recordings on your ShotKam Gen 4 or Gen 4 Mini? Find troubleshooting tips and solutions to capture your shooting footage.
Steps to Resolve Missing Videos on Gen 4 and Gen 4 Mini
- Check that you are shooting in Normal Shooting Mode (one quick click and release of the control button, one green LED light), not WiFi Mode (hold the control button for 3-5 seconds). WiFi Mode will wear down the ShotKam's battery more quickly, which can cause missed recordings.
- Ensure your ShotKam is fully charged (at least 3 hours or overnight).
- Always bump the gun with your hand before taking your shot. This will wake the ShotKam out of Sleep Mode so it is ready to save your shot as video. See Hunting with Gen 4 and Gen 4 Mini.
- Check that you have selected the correct Shooting Device in the ShotKam app. See Customize your settings.
If you use an over-and-under or break action shotgun, your Recoil and Wake-Up Sensitivity settings should be set to Normal. You can increase this to Very Sensitive to resolve missed recordings.
