If your ShotKam is shutting off after about 1 hour, then you are likely using it in Wi-Fi Mode. The ShotKam Camera has two modes for use:
- Wi-Fi Mode: Click and hold the control button for 3-7 seconds, then let go. You will see two yellow LED lights, then one LED will turn green while the other flashes yellow as it initiates connection.
In constant Wi-Fi Mode, the ShotKam will only last one hour. The frame-rate will also be lessened in Wi-Fi Mode, so any recordings taken in Wi-Fi Mode will be at 50 frames-per-second in Full HD. For more information on using the ShotKam at the range, please see:
- Normal Shooting Mode (Recommended for shooting): One quick click of the control button. You will see one green LED only.
In Normal Shooting Mode, the ShotKam will record in Full HD at 100 frames-per-second in Full HD and last about 4-5 hours (with intermittent Wi-Fi use). Please shoot in Normal Shooting Mode while hunting or at the range. Each recoil will be automatically saved as video, indicated by a flashing blue LED light. Then, simply turn the ShotKam off* with one quick click, and back on into Wi-Fi Mode when you are ready to review your shots within the app.
*You must turn the ShotKam OFF when switching between Wi-Fi Mode and Normal Shooting Mode. You will see no LED lights when the ShotKam is off.
