Download and Connect to the ShotKam App (WiFi Connection Guide)

Learn how to download the ShotKam app on iOS and Android mobile devices. Follow our step-by-step guide for an easy setup process.

BEFORE YOU START

✔ Watch tutorial video above 
✔ Charge ShotKam for 2–3 hours 
✔ Make sure ShotKam is OFF

Step 1 — Download the ShotKam App  

On iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the App Store   

2. Tap the Search tab

3. Type: ShotKam  

4. Tap Get

On Android:

1. Open the Google Play Store.

2. Tap the Search bar

3. Type: ShotKam

4. Tap Install  

Step 2 — Turn On ShotKam’s WiFi

1. Make sure your ShotKam is OFF

2. Press and hold the control button for 5 seconds

3. Release the button

What you’ll see:

• Two yellow lights appear

• After a few seconds, one light turns green and one light stays yellow. ✅ This means ShotKam’s WiFi is now ON

Step 3 — Open the Settings app

1. Open the Settings app on your phone ⚙️ 

2. Tap Wi-Fi

3. Look for a network called: ShotKam

4. Tap ShotKam

You may see the following once connect:

• “Unsecured Network”

• “No Internet Connection”

✅ This is NORMAL
ShotKam’s WiFi is only for transferring videos, not browsing the internet. When “ShotKam” shows as connected, you’re done here.

Step 4 — Open the ShotKam App

1. Close the Settings app ⚙️ 

2. Open the ShotKam app  

What You Can Do Now

Inside the app, you can watch your videos, adjust shooting settings, align the red dot (reticle), and download clips to your phone.

Step 5 — Make a Test Video (Recommended)

1. In the ShotKam App, tap “Test Recording”

2. Tap the red record button

3. Tap it again to stop

4. Tap “Watch Videos”

5. Select your video to download and play it

People also ask...

It says “No Internet”?

That’s normal. ShotKam WiFi is for video transfer only and does not provide internet access.

I don’t see “ShotKam” in WiFi?

Make sure the green and yellow lights are showing on the ShotKam. If not, turn the ShotKam off, then repeat Step 2 to enter WiFi Mode again.

Can I only download 5 videos at a time in the app?

Yes. To avoid overwhelming your phone’s processor, only 5 videos can be downloaded at a time.
Videos over 3 minutes in length are recommended to watch on a computer (instructions here).

How do I connect to the ShotKam App?

1. Turn the camera into WiFi Mode (green + yellow LEDs).

2. Open the Settings app on your device.

3. Tap WiFi.

4. Select ShotKam from the network list.

5. Once connected to the ShotKam network, open the ShotKam App.
