Are you having trouble using the AirPlay feature in the ShotKam App? We’re here to help! Follow this guide to learn how to cast ShotKam videos from your Apple device to another Apple device, such as a Mac computer or Apple TV.
What is AirPlay?
AirPlay is a feature that allows you to wirelessly stream videos from one Apple device to another. In the ShotKam App, you can use AirPlay to view your videos on a larger screen. Please note that this feature was added in the new ShotKam App update, released in September 2024. Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the ShotKam mobile app installed on your device. To check for updates, go to the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and verify that you're running the latest version.
How to Use AirPlay in the ShotKam App
To successfully cast videos using AirPlay, please follow these steps:
1. Open the ShotKam app and connect to your ShotKam device.
2. Navigate to the "Videos" section and select the video you want to play.
3. While the video is playing, tap the screen, then select the AirPlay icon located in the top-right corner (see screenshots below).
4. A pop-up will display the available devices for AirPlay. Choose the device you want to cast to, such as your Mac or Apple TV.
Troubleshooting AirPlay Issues
If your desired device does not appear on the list of available AirPlay devices, this issue is related to the iPhone’s operating system and not the ShotKam app. Here’s what you can do:
- Download the video to your phone’s Photos app by tapping the down arrow in the top-right corner of the video in the ShotKam App.
- Open the Photos app and use AirPlay from there.
Important Notes:
- Only videos can be AirPlayed within the ShotKam app. The Dashboard, Settings, or Calibration screens will not appear on AirPlay—only the video once it begins playing.
- If you still encounter issues, try downloading the video ↓ and AirPlaying through your Photos app.
