Buying a spare battery

If you’re wondering whether you can purchase a spare battery for your ShotKam, here’s what you need to know.

Are ShotKam Batteries Quickly Removable?

No. The battery in your ShotKam is built inside the unit and is not designed to be swapped like a traditional removable camera battery.

If the battery ever stops performing as expected over time, it can be replaced. However, replacement requires opening the unit with a custom tool and accessing internal components — it is not something that can be done mid-shoot.

Can the Battery Be Replaced?

Yes. If the battery no longer performs as expected over time, you can purchase a Battery Replacement Kit by emailing support@shotkam.com with:

• The results of your battery test (total minutes it stayed ON)

• Your order number or the first and last name used to place the order

How to Extend ShotKam Battery Life During Long Filming Days

If you need longer runtime while filming, use an external battery pack (power bank): External Battery Pack Information Here

You can plug it in when you see the flashing red low-battery indicator. Charging is not “all or nothing,” so even 30–45 minutes will add percentage back to the battery (similar to charging an electric vehicle).
